Wow, it's hard to believe that November is here already! I remember my Grandmother talking about how the days seem to go by faster and faster with each passing year. Just one of the many things she was right about. As we approach Thanksgiving, I am so truly thankful for my family and friends. And that includes our customers as they quickly become friends as well. Thank you...it's funny how two little words can be so powerful. A toddler brings you a dandelion from the back yard and you smile and say thank you and suddenly he wants to pick them all for you. Your young child puts his pennies together to buy a special gift for your birthday and that smile and thank you makes him feel like he's given you the world. Your child leaves for college and calls when she gets there to tell you she has arrived safely and the emotion in your "thank you for calling" assures her that she means the world to you. Thank you....what an impact those words can have. If you haven't done so lately, I hope you take a moment and thank those in your life and let them know how much they mean to you. And remember, those 2 little words aren't just important in your personal life. Showing authentic appreciation to your customers is HUGE. Customers are the reason that you are in business (or if you are an employee - they are the reason you have a job). So take a moment to sincerely say thank you and enjoy the smile you will no doubt receive in return :).
It seems like everyone is talking about their favorite sports team right now. I think there is nothing like cooler weather and the leaves changing color to make it seem like football season. That's not the only game in town though. If you live in Sandusky, Michigan (where CI is located) you start to see all kinds of scarecrows scattered around town. It's a great project undertaken by the Sandusky Community Hearts to bring the town together and decorate the streets. This year's theme is collegiate sports (get it - get in the game - I know, funny, right?). But in a way, it is like a game. We are on the same team, working together, cheering each other on and picking each other up when need be. I love my community and we (Clear Ideas) are so proud to have a scarecrow hanging out on Main Street. I know each of our surrounding communities have different celebrations and projects happening too. If you own a business, think about getting involved in your local community. It can be great exposure for your business, but it also can pull you into a network of people that make up a great team!
It seems like only a few years go by and we start thinking about re-design, especially in terms of our website and online presence. At times it can seem overwhelming and sooooo much work. So what is the reason we even consider taking this step? I guess for me it's the fact that our "design" and online presence really is a representation of who Clear Ideas is and, like every other aspect of life, time brings change. Change including available technology, new products and services, and most importantly, changes in the people that make up CI. Let's face it, our relationship with our customers is no longer limited to 42 Austin Street and "being there for you" is an important part of our relationship with you, our friends (aka customers). I look around our office and see everyone hard at work, a wealth of talent in so many areas, and a tremendous amount of heart put into every project. During our busier seasons, the stress level can be pretty high. Summer brings many events and publications and the hours can be long and full from start to finish. Even then there are practical jokes, high fives, home made treats left in the kitchen. I know there are MANY great people in our community, but I have to say that I am truly blessed to be able to work alongside the team here. And I can only smile when I see friends walk in to talk about a project and staff welcomes them as though they are part of the team. So I truly hope when this new website is up and social media posts are published, that you get a chance to see not only what CI can do for you, but can also see the heart of who Clear Ideas is. We look forward to seeing you soon!
